This is something new for the Detroit Lions this year. No, I don’t mean losing more games than they win (if they win any) but not selling out the stadium for home games. They have been blacked out by Fox for the last two home games because they didn’t sell enough tickets. This has never been a problem before but I am glad to see it. If Detroit decides that we are not going to pay to watch an awful football team, maybe Mr. Ford will do something to make it better. If he still makes money when the team is losing, why change anything? I know I wouldn’t change up the formula for making money hand over foot.
Hey, if you are not going to watch the Lions, how about stopping in to Joe Louis every once in awhile. You might be able to see a team win for once.

I totally agree with Hurite. The Wings have been one of the best franchises in all of sports over the past decade with ticket sales through the roof before the NHL strike a few years back and four championships. But they have changed the rules to make Hockey a higher scoring game and slowly but surely fans are coming out to support the best team, in terms of record, Detroit has to offer. Meanwhile the pathetic Lions got a brand new stadium in Ford Field and have little to show for it with losing season after losing season. But this year is different for the lions because not only are they losing they are losing every game and almost every game by a substantial margin. I think Hurite hit the nail right on the head by saying that it is good for fans not to show up because it’s not fun to go anymore if they are going to lose every game. If fans stop coming maybe Ford Sr. will pull his head out of the sand, sell his pathetic football team, and focus on getting his automotive company out of a date with bankruptcy. Up until now he has been making tons of money so why should he care about whether the team is losing or not?
Dude, you just have to get over it. The lions are always going to lose. Personaly I think it would be straight if we went 0-16. Whatever, so what does that mean? we'll keep doing what we have been doing for years in the lions orginization for years, just fire, and keep hiring different poeple, and uhh hopefully something works out eventually? We as fans tune in every Sunday to Lions football wanting a win but also in the back of our heads lays the thought, “how bad is it gonna be this game?” I got over the lions being bad a long time ago, so what their terrible. We are absolutely spoiled with the red wings, and the Pistons here and there. The Lions have their ups in games, and that all you can really ask for out of them. Our qb had a good game two weeks ago, 3 touchdowns in 3 possessions, and a 13 point lead at one point during the game. But, their the Lions so they blew it, ehh what are ya gonna do?
