9/11

I also found the movie quite interesting, because it also gave me new information regarding 9/11/2001. For example, I never knew just how aware the government was of something like this potentially happening. For example, the idea that the hijackers got into the country without trouble and took flying lessons here in the States was intriguing, and also appalling for me (just like the rest of the commission).

In some ways, I was glad that this occurred, despite all of the innocent casualties. After all, this seemed to be the only way to expose the government for what it really was. In a lot of ways, 9/11 went to prove that there’s a fine line between what the government does and what the government says they do. Additionally, it makes me angry that they were so reluctant to share information as a whole. But what’s even worse is that sometimes the populace can be oblivious enough so that the government can get away with things like that. I think that the former man in charge of national security (whose name escapes me) was beyond brave to not only admit that the government was at fault, but also that he himself let down his country.

So in conclusion, I found ‘On Native Soil’ to be a very interesting perspective on the whole incident, and how it has tied in with history.

In the movie on native soil they make a lot of valid points, and really make airline security and our goverment look weak, and unimformed about whats going on. Its a shame our government had a chance to prevent 9/11, and nothing was done.
