Fire Millen
The Lions finally fired Matt Millen. The only thing is that this probably should have been done 3 or 4 years ago. The Lions are without a doubt the most dysfunctional franchise in sports. Millen was hired by William Clay Ford to take an at best mediocre team to a playoff team. But the only time the lions were in the playoffs during his tenure was in the preseason predictions almost every year. Instead, the lions are now the laughing stock of the sports world and if Detroit didn’t have three other teams that have reached the championship of their sport recently Detroit as a whole would be the laughing stock of the sports world. Now all of a sudden William Clay Ford Jr. makes a comment about how he would have fired Millen already and Mr. Ford makes his move immediately. It’s as if he had been asleep all these years not knowing his football team and his automotive company were in the toilet. He is trying to fix one of them, maybe he should learn to multitask and fix both at the same time. Meanwhile, i hope my dream will be fulfilled and an NFL team, which will probably end up being the lions, will run the table in reverse.

I am so glad that this finally happened but this only solves half the problem. The other half is that William Clay Ford still owns the team, and we can't fire him. He was the one who hired Millen and the one who didn't do anything when Millen let the team fall even farther down in the standings year after year. He has not done one good thing since he took over the team. Maybe he should let his son take over because at least he can point out the obvious unlike his dad. Getting rid of Millen was a start but as long as Ford Sr. still has control of the team we still are gonna be going in the wrong direction.
I feel like now all Detroiters need to watch the lions play now. I mean let’s face it, the lions suck! But, just what if the organization firing Millen did do something. What if the lions just started pulling stuff off like the game this Sunday when they take on the Bears from chi-town? As always Brian Urlacker is going to be sick playing against us. But I really hope to see the lions put something together and win the super bowl this year.
The lions are hopeless and terrible. Roy Williams and Kevin Johnson are a waste of money, and over paid. The lions need to consider just rebuilding the whole team/program. Detroit fans are sick of repeated year after year the lions being awful. The organization should be totally embarrassed. It makes no sense on how going into the season how much faith we but in our QB (john Kitna) the guys roll in the NFL is a second or possibly a third stringer. Both our offensive and defensive line is a troches, and I myself have been a loyal Lions fan all my life, but it gets very boring and depressing that our home team can put nothing together in order to start winning some games. This Sunday we have a tough game ahead of us against the Minnesota Vikings whom also are struggling this year, so it should be interesting.
